Someone, somewhere has leaked some Gears of War 2 Beta footage onto YouTube, the quality is far from great but there’s some interesting stuff in there, Check it out below:

I can understand how one person could make a typo on the name “Ninja Gaiden” to “Ninja Garden” but it’s slightly odd when two major UK news papers make the exact same mistake? Could it be a case of journalists using “Cut & Paste”?

A little update on the Achievement points chart system. It’s now producing graphs which are about 98% there. As i can’t access back dated gamerscores anyone tat wishes to graph their gamerscore over time will need to enter their xbox live gamertag and then come back later when they’ve unlocked some points
Currently I’m polling scores on a daily basis but if a lot of people signup then i might need to make it weekly to reduce the load.

Anyway below is an example of the type of output currently being generated:

I’m hoping to have a sign-up form live in the next few days so I can start collecting scores for other gamertags. The long term plan is a widget of some type, either for Wordpress or possibly Google Gadgets.

Any requests for features?

I’m not obsessed with getting achievement points and increasing my Gamerscore (others will probably disaagree), I do however enjoy the challenge of completing a specific task. Overall achievement points and the whole Gamerscore system seems to work really well, it often spurs me on to finish games and tasks that I otherwise might not bother with. Therefore getting more for my money….maybe.

Anyway, I remember there used to a site that would plot your gamerscore over time and show you a nice graph that you could rub in your friends faces when you were gaining points quickly. They’d mostly tell you to get a life, but it was still useful.

I started working on a replacement for this site as it doesn’t seem to be working anymore, it’s collecting data right now, I just need to get a front end working, the graphs are nearly there. I’ll put a post up as soon as it’s in a usable form.
