GameTrak Freedom Xbox 360 Motion Control

A  motion controller for the Xbox 360 has been disgussed time and time again in the last year or so. It’s something Microsoft have denied they’re working on, however the GameTrak Freedom from Performance Design Products is in their own words a “proprietary and patent-pending ultrasonic 3D motion sensing technology that delivers performance, increased control and flexibility”. I’m not entirely sure what some of that means personally, but from what i understand it’s a controller similar to that of the Wiimote, the difference being it doesn’t need to be pointed at the screen, which is, i guess an advantage of sorts.

The controller is connected via a base unit that plugs into one of the USB ports, at the moment it’s difficult to say how good this will be, or if it’ll really be necessary at all. As soon as there’s a hands-on review I’ll get it posted
