A look at Twitter & Facebook on the xbox 360

A look at Twitter & Facebook on the xbox 360

I signed up the xbox preview programme thingy a few days ago and this morning the preview rolled out to my console for a quick dashboard update. My initial opinion on the twitter/facebook update is that mostly it’s pointless. It’s like the MSN messenger integration, it was great for about 5 mins, but then the messages from people who thought you were just sitting at your PC got very very annoying, especially when it take 5 mins to write a message that simply says “go away” with the on screen keyboard.

I’ve only had 5 mins to play with this update, and of the two i’d say the Facebook one is probably the most useful, even though it’s the social network i use the least. The ability to be able to look at photos is somewhat useful. Whereas with twitter you’re unable to follow any links that are tweeted, so sometimes it’s useless.

Anyway, take a look at some bad quality photos I took of the screen below,

  1. The msn messenger application was really frustrating when you were playing and contacts began talking to you thinking you were there chatting, as for the Facebook application I think its cool that you can share gaming moments, pictures and stuff. Its the future for bragging about achievements and success on games haha.
